A landing page that brings leads: 9 things it must have

A landing page that brings leads needs one clear promise in the headline, an explanation of who it is for, real proof, one call-to-action button, and a short form or WhatsApp. Anything more adds noise and lowers inquiries.

A landing page is one page built for one thing: that whoever arrives gets in touch. It is not a full website and not a catalog, and it does not try to tell the whole story. It takes a person who clicked an ad or a search result and leads them to the next step without distractions. Here is what we check on every page we build.

What is a landing page and when do you need one?

A landing page fits when you have one clear offer and one clear source of traffic: an ad on Google or Facebook, a WhatsApp campaign, or a search for a specific service. A business website presents the whole business. A landing page presents one service and pushes toward an inquiry. For a small business it often makes sense to build one good landing page before building a large site.

It is important to understand that a landing page is not magic. If the traffic to it is not relevant, even a perfect page will not bring inquiries. So you start with who arrives: what they searched for, on which device and in what mood, and you build the page as a direct answer to that. Someone searching for "movers today" wants a number and a button, not an article.

What must a landing page that brings leads include?

Nine things. If one is missing, it is worth knowing why.

1. A headline with one promise

The headline answers the question "what do I get here?" in one line. "Apartment moving in Ashkelon and Ashdod, with no surprises in the price" beats "Welcome to our moving company". The headline should include what the customer searched for.

2. A line of explanation: for whom and in which area

Under the headline, one sentence that says who it is for and what the area is. Whoever lands there should understand within a second that they are in the right place.

3. One prominent call-to-action button, already at the top

One action, repeated along the page. If you have three buttons with three different tasks, most customers will do none of them. The button should say what happens when you press it: "Chat with us on WhatsApp" and not "Submit".

4. Real proof

Clients, work, photos from the field, a full name and a real review. If you do not have any yet, do not make them up: a page without proof is better than a page with fake proof, because a suspicious customer disappears. You can show one real piece of work with a precise explanation of what was done, the way we do on our work pages.

5. What you get, in a short list

Three to six points, each one sentence. The result the customer receives, not a description of your internal process.

6. How it works, in three steps

Fear of the unknown stops inquiries. When the customer sees that the first step is a short call, followed by two clear steps, they relax. Three steps, one sentence each.

7. A short form or WhatsApp

Name, phone and what is needed. That is all. Every additional field lowers the inquiry rate. Many people prefer WhatsApp to a form, so we connect a smart chat that collects the details and sends them straight to WhatsApp, so the inquiry arrives with all the information and there are no forms that get stuck.

8. Speed and a good mobile experience

Most visits come from a phone. If the page loads slowly or the button is barely visible, the customer leaves. Test the page on a real phone, on a normal connection, and check that the button is reachable with a thumb.

9. Answers to objections and clear contact details

What holds a customer back is usually a question: how much does it cost, how long does it take, what if it does not fit. Answer them briefly at the end of the page, and add a phone number, WhatsApp and availability hours. Transparency about price and terms creates trust, and it is part of the marketing too.

What should not be on a landing page?

  • A long menu that leads to other pages and takes the customer off the page.
  • Moving slideshows and heavy videos that slow down loading.
  • Text about the history of the business before you say what you give.
  • Stock photos that everybody recognizes.
  • Promises that cannot be kept.

How do you write a landing page that speaks to the customer?

Write the way you would talk to a customer on a first call: direct, short and without slogans. One sentence per idea. Talk about the customer and not about yourself: "You will get a final quote before we start" is stronger than "We are a professional and reliable company". Replace every generic word like "quality" and "professional" with a detail that can be checked.

  • Open with the answer: what you do, for whom and in which area.
  • Use the words the customer types into search, because that is also how Google understands the page.
  • Paragraphs of three lines at most, and subheadings that can be scanned.
  • If the page is in Hebrew, check that the text aligns right to left and that phone numbers read correctly on mobile.
  • Close with a clear call to action: what the customer does now, and what happens after they do it.

How do you test that a landing page works?

Measure inquiries, not only visits. Before you send traffic, make sure every button works and that a WhatsApp inquiry really reaches you. Once there is traffic, check how many visitors got in touch, and ask the people who did where they heard about you and what made them reach out. Change one thing at a time, so you know what made the difference.

Do not wait for a perfect page. Go live with a good version, collect real inquiries and learn from them. If customers keep asking the same question on the phone, add the answer to the page. If they drop off halfway, shorten it. The best page is the one that improves according to what customers actually do, and not according to what we imagine.

And the search side: a landing page that clearly answers one question is also a page that search engines and AI engines understand and cite. A clear headline and an opening that answers the question straight away help both. More on this in organic SEO and AI visibility.

How long does it take to build a landing page?

When you have the text and images, a landing page or a small business site goes live within a few days, not months. The exact schedule is set on a 20-minute call, and after the call you get a final price. If you do not have text yet, we write it together with you. All the details are on the business website and landing page page.

One last tip: before you order a landing page from anyone, including us, ask to see real work, and ask what happens if you want to leave. A direct answer is a good sign.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a landing page and a business website?

A landing page is a single page whose goal is one inquiry, and it suits a campaign or a specific service. A business website presents the whole business across several pages. You can start with a landing page and expand to a site when you need to.

Does a landing page need a form?

Not necessarily. A short form works, and in Israel a WhatsApp button with a ready message sometimes works even better. What matters is that contacting you is short, and that the inquiry reaches you with the details.

How many fields should the form have?

Three: name, phone and what you need. Every extra field lowers the chance that the customer will fill it in. You collect the rest of the details on the call.

Can I get a landing page that goes live fast?

Yes. When the text and images are ready, a landing page goes live within a few days. The process starts with a 20-minute call, and afterwards you get a final price before we begin.
